Foster carers
Fostering, unlike adoption, can be for short or long periods and does not always involve a court order. It places a child with someone other than their birth parents, but it is not necessarily permanent.
Fostering can be a hugely positive experience for both the child and the foster carers, but it can be demanding, and it is important to understand the commitment and process before you apply. If you are already a foster carer, you may want to know what other options are available, such as a Special Guardianship Order or another order that better suits you and your foster child.
Contact us for advice and information on any fostering concern. We offer an initial free, no-obligation chat over the phone to outline your options and the possible costs, and in some circumstances we can explore whether the Local Authority might help meet your legal costs.
